Our parents always make laundry look easy. But there’s actually several things to keep in mind when undertaking the process of doing laundry.

It all starts with your supplies. You can’t effectively do a load of laundry, let alone your entire family’s laundry, without enough detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, or clothespins.

Next, when throwing your clothes, towels, bedsheets, or whatever else you are washing into the machine keep in mind you are both cleaning them and making them soft. Detergent helps clean your clothing items and eliminate bacteria. And fabric softener or some vinegar helps maintain the quality of your shirts, jeans, towels, or other items.

When drying your clothes, you can use either your traditional dryer for a few minutes to help reduce wrinkles or give them a quick “snap” when removing them from the machine. Both will help them as they hang on your Skyline clothesline to air dry your laundry. And don’t forget to check the weather before taking your laundry outside to hang on your clothesline!

Last in the process is removing clothes from the line to fold and put them away. Unless you need to iron out a few wrinkles before putting them in the correct closet or drawer.
